The embedded insurance provider, part of HDI International, will enable greater coverage and extended warranty solutions for customers of Italian mobile operator Wind Tre
Wroclaw, Rome, Berlin – 13th February 2024 – HDI Embedded, an embedded insurance provider part of HDI International, has announced it has been selected by Berlin-based insurtech, wefox, and Wind Tre, the Italian multi-service operator that offers connections, energy and insurance products, to provide protection for household appliances and electronics, beyond the original manufacturer’s warranty.
The announcement comes shortly after Wind Tre launched its insurance agency, Wind Tre Assicurazioni, in which wefox was selected as a strategic partner to help select and integrate the best insurers to exclusively create innovative and easy-to-use products for its customers.
Leveraging wefox’s industry-leading role as a distribution platform and service solution provider, HDI Embedded is now providing multi-appliance extended warranty insurance for household devices to Wind Tre customers. This includes extended insurance covering damages to household applications and consumer electronics (subject to conditions and limits), arising from failures or malfunctions after the manufacturer’s warranty expires, from costs as low as 4.99 EUR per month.
The agile deployment process enabled by wefox has empowered Wind Tre to swiftly introduce a new offering to better support its customers with insurance solutions. As a result, customers gain greater coverage options at competitive prices, as well as peace of mind from gaining longer protection of their household appliances and electronic goods.
