Marat Nevretdinov
Managing Director

Marat specialises in delivering commercial results (especially B2B), marketing, product advancement, and strategic initiatives within fiercely competitive, customer-centric industries. He has a track record of launching successful ventures in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. His accomplishments extend to pioneering novel insurance resolutions tailored for SMEs and orchestrating the implementation of a series of pioneering digital insurance innovations. Before joining HDI Embedded, he was COO of International Partnerships at Europa Ubezpieczenia and has held Managing Director and CEO positions at numerous financial services organisations.

Nelson Castellanos
Chief Partnership Officer

Nelson is the Chief Partnerships Officer – International of embedded insurance provider HDI Embedded, where he is responsible for overseeing distribution and acquisition in international markets. HDI Embedded is an embedded insurance provider at the forefront of innovation in the insurance industry. Combining 120 years of insurance experience with a partner-centric tech platform, HDI Embedded delivers tailored embedded insurance solutions throughout Europe. Before joining HDI Embedded, Nelson spearheaded business growth and partnerships strategy development for some of the most successful insurtechs globally, such as Compajon, Cover Genius and SquareTrade. Prior to that, Nelson has delivered end-to-end programmes for many of Europe’s most innovative businesses, including MediaMarkt, Trainline and Novus. Nelson holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance, and a master’s degree in international business.

Gregor Mandt
Chief Partnership Officer

Gregor Mandt is the Chief Partnership Officer for Germany at HDI Embedded, where he combines the 120 years of HDI’s insurance experience with a technology-driven platform ensuring tailored embedded insurance solutions across Europe. With a career spanning over 25 years, Gregor has established himself as a t-shaped professional in the international insurance industry, particularly in the realm of strategic partnerships, innovation, and embedded insurance solutions. Before his current role, Gregor honed his expertise and leadership skills in senior positions within HDI Group, as General Manager at the financial service institution of an automotive manufacturer, and as an entrepreneur founding and running his own business. Gregor’s journey in the insurance sector is also distinguished by his contributions as speaker, author, lecturer at Hannover’s University of Applied Science, and mentor at the German Plug and Play Insurtech program.
